Lincoln Woods State Park is a 627 acre state park in Lincoln, Rhode Island containing two fresh water beaches, trails, and picnicking facilities. It was named after President Abraham Lincoln.
On Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, February 12, 1908, the state began acquiring land for the park with the purchase of Quinsnicket pond, and seventy-one surrounding acres. Eventually, more acreage was added over the twentieth century. Today, the park contains boating, swimming, skating and fishing areas as well as horse, bike, and pedestrian trails.
